Wow. My last post here was over a year ago.Surprisingly, this blog is chugging along with its couple of hundred hits per day even now, thanks to all the google juice!

My last post was about Simple way to make youtube videos buffer faster. A bunch of stuff has changed since then, and undoubtedly it's time for an update.

  YouTube, the extremely popular video sharing website averaging more than 3 billion page views per day needs no introduction to its fans who spend a considerable amount of their time watching and sharing videos. While most of these user know every nook and corner of this website, there are some features that are hidden deep within, in a manner that only few of the most experienced users seem to know about them. this article contains some such features, tips and tricks.

1. YouTube Myspeed

 Are YouTube videos taking too much time to load on your internet connection? Visit the YouTube MySpeed page to find your video streaming speed and compare it with the average speed of your ISP, your city, your state, your country and the world.

2. Set Default Video Playback Quality

 Are you annoyed at manually changing the quality of every YouTube video you watch? Now you don't need to, because YouTube has an option that automatically lets you select the quality of videos you see. If you have a slow connection, you can select the option of never playing high quality videos. You can also select the option of showing captions and annotations automatically.

3. YouTube Live

 Want to find the best videos on YouTube? Use YouTube Charts to find what other users are watching, discussing and favoring. You can select a particular category to determine the best videos in that particular category. You can even filter videos to determine what has been popular this week, this month or this year. You also have the option to play all the videos obtained in results.

5. Legally Watch Full Length Movies and TV Shows on YouTube
 YouTube has a dedicated page to allow users to watch full-length ad supported movies for free. Movies are classified based on their genre and are offered in full HD quality. Movies are uploaded by the creators for the purpose of creating another source of revenue for themselves as Google gives them a portion of the advertising revenue. A similar page exists for TV shows.

6. YouTube Feather Beta

 Love browsing videos but are on a terribly slow connection? Feather, the new experimental feature to allow users on slow connections enjoy YouTube might help you. It achieves this by serving the lowest amount of data to a user. Naturally, this means removal of several features that don't add much value. Feather is currently available only as an opt-in service which allows you to opt out anytime you want

Simple way to make youtube videos buffer faster

Sick of youtube buffering and loading slowly? Dont worry, I have a way to speed up the problem.It works for me and hopefully you too :P

Its actually very simple..This works for all internet browsers. firefox  chrome, ie. I dont use any others though. But it should work. just go to Youtube,go to any video.

 Pause it or whatever you want to do.  next you just need to right click the video. afterwards scroll down to settings. Not "global settings" .Just "settings". Once you have clicked it there will be a meter of  how much information youtube (or s.ytimg)can store on your pc.

Drag it all the way to right.All this does is allow youtube to store as much information on your pc it wants.

 Dont worry it will not harm your computer.Just for the record your youtube videos will buffer load render out depending on your internet speed.This just helps but if doesnt, suppose you should just get better internet.

How To Unblock Sites

Indian Authorities have recently told to block all the Torrent sites in India and most of the ISP's have blocked the sites as per the court issues. Here i'll tell you some simple methods by which you can access any torrent site even if it is blocked.
1.Use HTTPS instead of HTTP - As ISP's have only blocked HTTP web version of websites, you can directly access all torrent websites using HTTPS instead of HTTP.So you can open url of the torrent site in this format :
  https://torrentz.com/

  https://piratebay.se

                              As you can see using http shows a message saying site is unavailable.

2.Use VPN 

Just like proxies, you can make use of VPN of countries like US and Canada where torrents have not been blocked. While using these VPN services, all you need is the torrent file on your PC. Once you have that, you can disconnect from VPN and start the downloading by the normal way.

3.Use Proxies

This is one of the ways which I reckon have already been tried by me and no wonder it works like charm. There are number of paid and free Proxy services available on Internet.

How To Play Ps2 Games On PC

Hey There!
Today, I tried using pscx2 to play ps2 games and it took me a long time to make it work. People said it would work with no additional stuff. It turns out they were wrong after all and I had to do some extra to make it work.
                                                  Getting Started
What you need:
a) Windows 7 (I Have used last x64 build)
b) Fast computer (at least 256mb video card and 2gb ram)
c) Directx 9 installed.
Note: no, it won't uninstall your directx 11 installation, at least it didn't for me

STEP 1: First, install Directx 9, in case you didn't do it before, then install pcsx2 Emulator.

STEP 2: Get the BIOS file and place it on C:\Program Files(x86)\pcsx2\bios

STEP 3: Install Pcsx2 Emulator.

Now that we have our emulator setup, it's time to start configuring it. The settings this guide will show you how to play most games while keeping the emulator stable and without crashes or game glitches
                                                      Plugin Setup

On first boot up, it will request directories to ISOs and the BIOs, for now you can keep these blank and continue on, but make sure you choose a bios (preferably the USA one) before continuing, but the screen that is most important through the sequence is the plugin selection. When it comes to selecting the plugins, make select them as follows:

If you are on an AMD CPU, change the Gsdx plugin to the SSE2 version, as SSSE3 and SSE4 versions do not work with any CPU except Intel E and Q model Quads (and ix processors). Once setup as seen, click "Configure" next to the Gsdx plugin to go to the video settings screen.

 

If you think you have a mid range video card, leave it as it is. If you have a video card similar or on par with an ATI 48xx model, you can change the D3D internal res to something higher to get "HD" graphics. If you are using an operating system before Vista/7, click the Renderer box and change it to DirectX 9.
If you want to change control settings, click the Configure button and change the controls as you wish. Once these steps are done, press OK to exit the first-time guide and enter the emulator.

Set it up exactly does in the screenshot. As you can see, the recommended options are in bold, this means that if a game crashes or glitches, these options could be the culprit, remember this.
NOTE: SuperVU has always seemed more stable, but if you want speed over compatibilty, change to MicroVU.
Click on the next option on the bar to show the next things we can configure:

I say can because there is nothing really to configure, but the PAL frame rate can be change to 60 (as it is in the screenshot) to gain the same speed in games as NTSC ones. If you are okay with the normal speed of PAL games, ignore this and carry on to the next screen.

 This screen is the most important, as this is where things can be cut back to gain speed in games, but could also break them. The settings in this screenshot are very stable and will not cause problems for most games, so change them to match the screenshot. If a game you are trying to run has loading or graphical problems, check back here and try messing around with the different options to see if anything changes. VU Cycle Stealing can sometimes cause weird frame skipping in some games, so if this happens to you just try lowering the cycle stealing.
And last but not least; Game Fixes:

You do not need to change anything unless the game you are playing is one of the ones listed on a particular fix. With PCSX2 9.8, game fixes are automatically enabled depending on the game.
                                          Your emulator is now ready!
                                                             Loading an ISO
Loading an ISO is easy, all you have to do is go to the CDVD option and click "Iso", then click ISO Selector and browse for your ISO. Any previously loaded ISOs will be selectable in the ISO Selector menu.

Recover hidden files infected by viruses

Almost every new technology has its own threat. Nowadays most of us use USB flash drive to transfer files between devices especially computer or PC. Some of us couldn’t care less the risk of the files being infected by viruses when transferring (which involves the process of copy/paste) files between two (2) of the devices. One of the most common consequences of doing so is the files couldn’t be found (hidden) inside the flash drive. So don’t get panic. Here is a tip and steps to recover the files hidden in your flash drive:
 1. Plug in ur thumb drive into the USB port.

 2. Just after the computer detects the flash drive, open My Computer (or u can simply press “Windows + E” keys together) and identify the drive letter for the flash drive. In this example the drive letter for the flash drive is ‘F’. You might be able to see some or all the files and/or folders are transparent (this is actually the hidden files/folders). In case of u didn’t see any files, no need to worry because it is due to the explorer setting which restrict the user from viewing the hidden files. You might be able to see it later once the process is complete.

 3. Next, click on windows START button then click ‘RUN’ and u’ll get a run window like the image displayed below. Type ‘cmd’ in the text box given then press ‘OK’ button.

 4. Inside the new window (this is actually MS-DOS prompt), type the drive letter for the flash drive followed by colon ‘:’. In this example our drive letter for the flash drive is ‘F’. Therefore, type ‘f:’ then press ‘enter’ key. Next, type “attrib –s –h *.* /S /D”. Wait until u see ‘f:\>’ prompt again just after the command we have type before. (Please be patient since the process of recovering hidden files might take few moments depends on the number of files/folders in the flash drive.)Check out the Image Below.

5. Once the process is completed, open My Computer again and holaa!! :O the hidden files will appear in ur flash drive again.. Have a try..
